Baby Photoshoot

I managed to find enough energy to take some newborn photos of Lydia. She also had her first trip to the park and first bath.

Lydia Rebecca Dilworth

Lydia joined our family on October 14, 2012 at exactly 12:00 p.m. She weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and was 18.5 inches long. I was one full week overdue and was induced. Lydia was just a little too comfortable inside the womb. She is amazing. It is terrifying being so responsible for such a tiny little person, but nothing has helped me understand God's love for us more. I love her and I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ for teaching me the Plan of Salvation and helping me understand these wonderful priorities in our lives.

Marsha was able to come meet Lydia and stay while I was in the hospital. My mom came the day we left the hospital. Lydia got to meet Maya and her Potter cousins very soon after being born.

Maternity Photos

Just a few days before my due date, we took some maternity photos to remind us how pregnancy was. Looking back, I was extremely blessed with a great pregnancy. My first trimester, I was constantly exhausted, but did not suffer from morning sickness or some of the other worse symptoms. My gag reflex was a little sensitive, so the thought of eating made me gag. We found that watching TV while we ate dinner distracted me enough that I was able to get food in me. I would eat half a power bar right before bed and then the other half before I even got out of bed in the morning and that seemed to stave off the nausea. I was able to keep working full time until my due date and the only job-related discomfort I suffered was swollen fingers from so much typing at my Ancestry.com computer.

We could not wait to meet our little bundle!
