Happy Halloween

We were not very creative for Halloween this year. We loved the Strawberry costume we found for Lydia, so we decided that we would be Strawberry Farmers. She didn't seem to mind the bulkiness of the costume and we were pleased with the warmth factor it provided for her. She's the cutest darn strawberry I've ever seen if I can say so myself!

Our Halloween Festivities involved sharing Hot Cocoa and passing out candy with our neighbors, Mark and Stacey Stevenson and their cute kids Emily, Devin, and Carly (not pictured). Stacey stirred up a big cauldron of Cocoa to pass out to the parents who were dutifully taking their kids trick-or-treating. Collin took Lydia with Mark and the other kids around the block even though Collin just didn't feel right about taking candy for "Lydia."

Caught in the Act

Lydia wanted to help when we finished taking out the trash. She had the perfect "You caught me but I am going to keep going until you stop me" look when we came back in the bedroom.

Lydia has been climbing on everything she can get on top of...or stuck inside of. :-)

Big girl cup

Lydia's first attempt at drinking from a big girl cup unassisted. She did reasonably well until she got curious and dumped the remainder of the contents of the cup on her lap.

Lydia's 1st Birthday

We celebrated Lydia's 1st birthday a week early when Oma and Opa were in town for General Conference.

Her party was ladybug themed.

She was hesitant to try the cake, but slowly got more and more excited about it. She loved the peppermint patty the most out of it all.

She knew just what to do with the baby doll that Oma and Opa gave her. She gave her baby lots and lots of love and hugs.

Conference Weekend

We were able to enjoy having Mom and Dad in town for General Conference. They came out and filled their time with many wonderful things. Some events on the agenda were J Ruben Clark Law Society events, hike around Aspen Grove, and a mission reunion. Collin and I were able to help secure a church building for Mom and Dad to use for their Berlin Mission Reunion. We, of course, got to watch conference together and Collin even got a few tickets for him and Dad to attend the Priesthood session at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City. We split the weekend between time in Orem and Cottonwood Heights so we could see Lisa and her family and spend time with everyone. It was so fun to have Mom and Dad come visit!

Laundry Help

Lydia did her best to help fold the laundry. She mostly loved sitting on whatever was inside the laundry basket.
